Clear the Clutter for the New Year
Clear the clutter for the New Year with these easy tips:
- If you haven’t used it since January of last year, get rid of it.
- If going through each closet is overwhelming, resolve to clear the clutter gradually by removing a shopping bag’s worth of stuff each week.
- If you have anything of value, turn it into cash by selling it online.
- Resolve that for every new thing you buy this year, you’ll get rid of something.
- Work your way in a circle around your house. Start in one room and work your way through each room. Resolve to do one a week.
- If you’re not sure about getting rid of something, put it in a special box in the garage. If you haven’t used it by next year, toss it.
- Double your shelving space with wire shelving. Wire shelving is easy to assemble, looks great, and keeps your stuff organized.
- Put your favorite items on display using decorative shelving. If some of your favorite collections have been hiding at the back of a closet, put them front and center with decorative shelving.
- Take back the garage. Transform your garage from a dumping ground to an organized storage space by tossing out junk and organizing what you need using wire shelving.
- Decide where everything goes. Designate closets for different categories and organize accordingly. Wire shelving makes a great way to add space to these spaces.
