I have my wire rack in the garage holding my weight lifting gear. I use the hook to hold a couple of heavy leather lifting belts. Works perfectly.

This is the least-expensive thing I ordered from The Shelving Store, and one of the items I use the most! It's perfect for hanging pot mitts and dish towels for easy access. Works great, although my accessory hook did *not* come with a plastic tip.

I need a solution to conveniently store gift bags with my gift wrapping supplies.  2 of these hooks did the job.  Easy to slip over the edge of the shelf.  I used one for large and one for small gift bags, but these could easily hold much heavier items.
