Use colorful,
plastic bins to put away your child's toys. Sort them by type, shape, or color. Clear drawers can also be beneficial to getting your child organized because they can see which items are in the drawers before opening them.
Get your child a
colorful locker for all of their school supplies, art projects, or any other designated material. By creating a space entirely for your child, you are encouraging them to keep it clean and organized.
Make charts using pictures or words, depending on your child's age and reading level, to make them a schedule that they can follow. Refer to the schedule to help them learn about time, days of the week, months, years, and to get a better concept of past, present, and future.
Most importantly, make organizing fun for your kids. Try to incorporate rewards or reinforcements into the learning process so they associate organizing their belongings and time with positive feelings. They will learn faster and be eager to replicate this behavior on their own.
