Benefit on the Bay Fundraiser

Looking to attend a fun night out for a great cause? Join us for the 31st Annual Benefit on the Bay fundraising event, set for Friday, August 23rd, 2024. Sponsored and hosted by our sister website Shelving.com, 100% of the proceeds support the local Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

With doors opening at 5:30pm, the event will take place at MacRay Harbor on Lake St. Clair in Harrison Township. It will once again be hosted by Detroit media personality Jay Towers, a morning news anchor for Fox 2 Detroit and host of the Jay Towers in the Morning program on 100.3 WNIC.

Enjoy an evening of live entertainment—ranging from performances by the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Choir to Uptown Sound DJ. As in previous years, a silent and live auction will be featured with exciting prizes up for grabs. Festivities include a cash raffle and a delicious dessert assortment by On the Rise Bakery Café, one of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen's valuable programs.

Tickets are $85 and must be purchased in advance. The price include appetizers, dinner, beer and wine, and complimentary valet.

100% of the event proceeds will support the valuable programs and services of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, which traces its origins back to 1929. The Capuchin Soup Kitchen serves Metro Detroit by providing food, clothing, and human development programs to community members in need. Two meal sites prepare and serve up to 1,700 free meals a day. In addition, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen sponsors a shower program, social work assistance, and substance abuse counseling services.
